A homosexual hairdresser is jailed for a lifetime after he intentionally handed down to fans he came across through the Grindr dating app.
Daryll Rowe, 27, became the first guy in Britain to be convicted of deliberately wanting to distribute the virus as he had been convicted in November.
Rowe spread to five men and attempted to infect another five after he had been identified as having the herpes virus in April 2015.
Today, Rowe was presented with a life phrase at Lewes Crown Court, of that he will serve at the least 12 years.
Rowe had been discovered responsible of five counts of grievous physical harm with intent, and five counts of wanting to achieve this after fulfilling them from the dating app that is gay.
After being identified as having in April 2015 in the house city of Edinburgh, Rowe came across males on gay relationship app Grindr.
He previously intercourse with eight of those in Brighton, East Sussex, between that year and February 2016, before fleeing to the north east where he went on the run from police, targeting two more men october.
